Frequently asked questions

How much does a Dell laptop battery replacement cost?

£50 labour plus the battery at cost. The cell price depends on your exact model — we send a fixed quote before any work begins. Most replacements are turned around the same day the laptop arrives.

My battery is swollen and the trackpad is lifting — is that dangerous?

Yes. A swollen battery is a fire and pressure risk. Power the laptop off, unplug it, do not charge it, and post it to us as soon as you can. We handle and dispose of swollen cells safely and fit a fresh battery.

Do you fit genuine Dell batteries?

We fit Dell-grade replacement batteries matched to your model's capacity and connector. We tell you up front whether the cell is OEM Dell or an equivalent-grade compatible, and both carry a 12-month warranty.

My battery drains fast or won't charge past a low percentage — is it the battery or the charger?

Could be either — a worn cell, a failed charging circuit, or a tired charger. Free diagnostics pinpoint which before you pay for anything, so you're not replacing a healthy battery.
